DCC Partaking in the AAM Program!
DCC Automation/Dairy Conveyor Corporation had the pleasure to participate in this year’s class of 2021 Academy of Advanced Manufacturing (AAM) program. The idea of the program was birthed by the partnership between Rockwell Automation and the Manpower Group. The concept is to train military veterans for careers in high-demand technical roles. The program took place in Milwaukee, WI that covered a wide range of electrical topics from software install, industrial automation troubleshooting, logix basics, instrumentation, to network maintenance, motor control, and drive fundamentals that spanned across 12 weeks of training. The main objective to all these classes is to train veterans to be “job-ready” from the moment they graduate to the instant they are hired at a tech company.
We have a strong and stable foundation and that is what we want to convey to our veterans. A symbiotic relationship of: you watched out for us, now let us watch out for you.
Here at DCC Automation we were ecstatic to have presented our company to a group of veterans on May 6th by participating in AAM’s “Discovery Days” – company presentation week. Currently we have a position open for an electrical field technician that we look forward to placing with a candidate from the AAM program. Our AAM coordinator, Mary Burgoon (the Business Development Manager from Rockwell Automation), helped serve as a moderator during the presentation. Our national sales manager, Rick Noble, took the lead and presented DCC Automation to a class of about a dozen veterans. The presentation showcased DCC as a company that has a healthy, competitive, and innovative atmosphere. A company that has historically been and is always striving to be “Best in Class” within our industry. Having had continuous steady growth in the material handling business for well over 65 years, and proving our resilience during the height of the recent pandemic. We have a strong and stable foundation and that is what we want to convey to our veterans. A symbiotic relationship of: you watched out for us, now let us watch out for you.
Since our presentation we have been blessed with multiple candidates interested in working for DCC Automation. We are looking forward to hiring from the future graduating classes.
DCC Automation would like to extend a gracious thank you to all of our veterans. The month of May not only hosts the coveted Memorial Day, a day to honor soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for our country, but it is also the National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM), a day to honor all those who served our country, whether they be active, inactive, retired, or deceased.
